      Summary

      E-mail Campaign Goes Wild

      Product

      FileMaker Pro

      Version

      10.0v3

      Operating system version

      10.6.4

      Description of the issue

      Setup E-mail Campaign- press send and my mail opens about 15 emails addressed properly and then one e-mail address and contact name in the group of 25 goes wild and continously opens an e-mail to send at a nonstop rate. Only can stop it by Force Quit Filemaker or Mail or shutting off computer.

      Update: I have since upgraded to Filemaker Pro 11, problem is the same.
      What can I do to make this work?

      Steps to reproduce the problem

      Works the same everytime, after 3 goes at it deleting the group list from campaign then applying again still does the same.

      Expected result

      Expect to send a template e-mail with an attachment to a list of 25.

      Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

      No Error messages just uncontrolled e-mails opening with addresses and template of same name after about 15 of the normal ones open.

          Thank you for your post.

          Looking at the Email Campaign Management sample file, I'm assuming the "Send Campaign" script is being called.  There is only one "Send Mail" script step which resides inside a loop.  To exit the loop, the field must be empty, and I suspect it is never becoming empty.  You may want to change the script step from:

          Exit Loop If [ Campaigns::g_Contact_List_Temp = ""]

          to:

          Exit Loop If [ Length (Campaigns::g_Contact_List_Temp) < 3 ]

          =====

          This will help resolve any entry where you may have a space in the field.

          Let me know if you continue to run into difficulty.
