Did you type your contact data into the database or import it from another source via Import Records?
The contacts were imported from an excel spreadsheet.
I've opened another campaign and the same thing happens once imported.
There's a common problem users encounter with a number of the starter solutions when they import contacts from another file. During import, you need to enable auto-enter options or each imported contact does not receive the ContactID number needed in order for the record to be properly linked to other records in the system. This, in turn, can cause scripts and other features to fail to work correctly.
This thread describes the same issue, but with a different starter solution file. It describes two ways to fix the problem that should also apply to your use of the Email campaign starter solution:

One other problem i have is a <missing field> on the name (full name)?
when i add a new contact to a group it just has their title and company but the name is blank?
When in the 'form view' for contacts it has the company on the top right and <missing field> on the left where their full name should be???
Can that be fixed? do i have to link it to something??
If you can help me out with this one, I would be soooo appreciative!!!!
Sounds like a change was made to the structure of your file. <Missing Field> shows up when you put a field on a layout and then the field definition in the table is deleted or the field's table occurrence (box in Manage | Database | Relationships) is deleted.
I've looked at the starter solution, but am not sure which layout you are on when you have company on the top right and Full Name on the left. There are several such layouts.
Enter layout mode and then select this layout from the layout drop down if you aren't already on that layout.
Then double click the full name field and select contacts from the drop down in the specify fields dialog that pops up. Now select Name_Full from the list of fields.
If you can't find Contacts or you can't find Name_Full, you'll know what's missing and has to be re-created. You may want to pull up a back up copy of your data base and use it to replace your current copy.
that's great, the full name field was deleted? not sure how that happened.
anyway i've done what you've suggested and started a new database and imported the contacts with auto-enter and works perfectly!
I'm not sure if this is possible but when I email a campaign, is it possible to include my signature? and when I open it in entourage I have to click html to get the normal font and click my signature.
Just wondering when I send an email, can I have it in html mode with the signature included so I don't have to do it to every email in entourage?
Unfortunately, FileMaker only sends plain text emails. There are a number of email plug ins you can investigate to see if any will meet your needs. You can web search for them and contact the developer if you have any questions about them.
