This means that the data is being accessed in two or more windows at the same time. It's analogous to two users on a network trying to edit the same record. This is due to a change in FileMaker's behavior. If you can figure out which other window (May have one such window open for each of the 9 files), is locking this record, you can commit the record on this window and then the other window will permit the user to edit the data.
You can commit a record by changing records, performing the commit record script step or just by clicking a blank part of the layout.
If you opened a file or window just before you got this message via script, you may just need to add a commit record step to that script before the focus changes to the new window.
that makes sense because that is exactly how the users get around the problem. so, for two users use the same db file i will he to add a commit command to the script, does this lock out the other user?
