      Description of the issue

      Continually receive "unexpected error" message... I've sent numerous reports... I have been through all the permissions steps, utility repair permission..... ARGH!

      I can't even remember why I wanted to use Bento in the first place... This is a very aggrevating program.

      Steps to reproduce the problem

      New Library from Template....



      Expected result

      New template

      Actual result

      crash... send report... over and over and over and over again...

      Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

      An unexpected problem has occurred. Bento must quit.

          FileMaker and Bento are two different programs from the same company. Why are you reporting a problem with Bento in the FileMaker Report an Issue (report a bug) forum?

            Thank you for your post.

            It appears your bento.bentodb file may be damaged.  To verify, create a new user account, log in to the new user account and launch Bento.  Once launched, pull down the File menu and select "New Library from Template".  If you crash, then the Bento application may be damaged.  Reinstall from the CD, or download a new copy.  Assuming you don't crash, and you don't have a recent backup file, feel free to send in your database file.  Check your Inbox at the top of this page for instructions where to send the file.
