Summary

Evaluate ( "Self" ) in auto enter calc isn't supported

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

11 Advanced

Operating system version

10.5

Description of the issue

I want to reference a field in its own auto-enter calculation, without causing the calc to trigger when the field itself is changed.

This should be accomplished by using Evaluate ( "Self" ), but this expression returns an error.

When used inside an auto-enter calculation, Evaluate ( "Self" ) should return the same results as Self.

When wrapping Self in an Evaluate ( ie Evaluate ( "Self" )  ), the result is a question mark.

Wrapping Evaluate ( "Self" ) in EvaluationError(), returns 1225. "The function is not supported in this context."
