ExecuteSQL > FileMaker_BaseFileName includes host name when the file is hosted

Question asked by CamelCase on Dec 21, 2012

Summary

ExecuteSQL > FileMaker_BaseFileName includes host name when the file is hosted

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

12.0v3

Operating system version

OS X 10.6, OS 10.8

Description of the issue

The result of:
ExecuteSQL ( "SELECT FileMaker_BaseFileName FROM FileMaker_Tables" ; "" ; "" )
includes the host name in parenthesis after the actual file name when the file is hosted (unlike DatabaseNames.

Expected result

FileName

Actual result

FileName (HostName)

Workaround

My specific aim here was to get just the tables that are actually in the current file, not those in external data sources.
For this, one can either use "hybrid" coding, building the ExecuteSQL code in blocks using other FileMaker functions, or else do a LIKE and hope that the host name doesn't happen to contain the same characters as the filename.
