I did run an sfc scan to verify Windows files and it checked out fine so I don't believe this is an issue with our OS installation:

      sfc /scannow

Beginning system scan.  This process will take some time.

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
      Verification 100% complete.

Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

Is this a Citrix or Terminal Services environment or a single user installation of FileMaker Pro 13 Advanced on Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter?

It's a Citrix XenApp 6.5 environment which appears to be supported:

The report indicates the application is “FileMaker Pro Advanced.exe”. FileMaker Pro volume license is supported. FileMaker Pro Advanced is not supported.

Does this issue occur if using FileMaker Pro and not FileMaker Pro Advanced?

From page 9 of the FileMaker® Pro 13 Using a Remote Desktop Connection with FileMaker Pro 13:

Installing FileMaker Pro on a Remote Desktop Services server or Citrix XenApp

Note The installations described in the following sections require a FileMaker Pro volume license. Single licensed copies of FileMaker Pro are not supported.”

FileMaker Pro Advanced is single license per copy even when volume licensed and is not designed to be used in a Citrix or Terminal Services environment.

From a user perspective, even if this were supported, I don't see the point in using FileMaker Advanced for your Terminal Server sessions. The number of people that need the much more expensive Advanced, is usually quite small (Just your developer(s)) and they can use Remote Desktop to access a duly licensed copy of Advanced if they don't have more direct access via the LAN itself.

Ok, we'll test using FileMaker Pro on a couple of our Citrix servers to see how that works out for us. We are using a site license, btw, not a volume license.

We need a windows installer package for FM Pro one version below 13.0.9 because we are running FM server 12.0.5. Is there a download link that you guys can provide? Thank you!

A site license is a type of volume license. Both standard volume license and a site volume license allow FileMaker Pro to be used in a Citrix or Terminal Services environment.

The download from the store purchase email will be the current full FileMaker Pro 13.0v9 installer. If the email was misplaced or the download link expired, then contact support and we can resend the store email and make sure the download links are active.

                          Hi all,

After following the suggestions in this post to remove the Advanced version of FileMaker from Citrix (which we did), we're still seeing some instances of these Event Log errors. Any suggestions?

First, the only operating systems officially tested for FileMaker Pro 13 in a Citrix or Terminal Services environment are:

“Citrix and Terminal Services (FileMaker Pro 13 only):

                            • Citrix XenApp 6.5
                            •
                            • Windows Server 2012 Terminal Services
                            •
                            • Windows 2008 R2 Terminal Services”

System Requirements for FileMaker Pro 13 and FileMaker Pro 13 Advanced

However, untested operating system aside are any Windows updates available for Windows Server 2008 R2 Datacenter?

At least, on one third party forum Microsoft had a hotfix for another application with the same error here:

                            https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/windowsserver/en-US/1fcf853d-9c20-44ae-853a-54d6fd2bf20a/clexe-the-process-was-terminated-due-to-an-unhandled-exception-event-26-source-net-runtime

The two suggestions in that thread are to update the .NET Framework and to add FileMaker Pro.exe to the Windows Data Execution Prevention.

Please keep me updated with any progress.

                              Hi TSFalcon,

I tried to just exclude Filemaker Pro from Windows DEP but I got the attached message saying it couldn't be done. So I just turned down DEP to the level of using it for essential Windows services only (first radio button).

I didn't want to apply the hotfix in that article you linked to since it was specific to an application that we aren't using (CL.EXE).

We are not missing any .NET Framework updates on Windows and are running version 4.5.51209 per screen shot. I assume any needed .NET updates would be pushed via Windows Update and I don't need to search for them manually online?

If all the Windows updates are done and .NET is updated, then likely whatever operating system hotfix was mentioned in the other thread is now included as a Windows update. No need to manually search out any other updates.

The .NET errors are reduced but I did see another one crop up today, see below. I included a screen shot of the current DEP settings on the servers, too. Do you feel the FM 14 client update may resolve this?

Unknown. However, feel free to test and let us know the results.

Since the process is still terminating, then is any other third party security or antivirus software installed on the computer?

If so, and the FileMaker Pro application and live database files can be excluded from scans, then that may also help.
