Thank you for your post.
The last line in the script "Add a Note" is:
Go to Field [ Notes:: Text ].
Just prior to that, enter the script step:
Go to Object [ Object Name: "Notes" ]
Reason: The Notes tab has been assigned the object name "Notes". This will make it active, and your Notes field should then be visible. It should work without it, but obviously, something has become damaged.
Let me know if this doesn't correct the problem.
Hi TSGal...I found the problem! Apparently because I had imported all of my contacts from an excel spreadsheet, I had on the go, it didn't recognize them as being "added records". Very strange. I believe this would be considered a "BUG". I had to duplicate all the contacts and delete the imported ones and then the notes tab worked just fine.
Very strange! But the problem is now solved.
I have exactly the same problem. It seems that i can not add any note to the records that I have imported to the database from an excel file. However if I create a record I can do it.
When you import an Excel file, be sure to check the option to "Perform auto-enter options while importing", as this sets the ID field so you can then add notes. Otherwise, the ID field will remain blank and you would be unable to enter Notes.
