Summary

FileMaker 11 "Permission Denied" on attached hard drives

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

11.0V4

Operating system version

Mac OS 10.6.8

Description of the issue

Just recently I have encountered "Permission Denied" error messages when attempting to open FM files that are on attached hard drives.  Previously, this was not a problem.  Running disk utilities volume repair fines no errors and does not correct the problem.  Copying the file to the MacBook Pro internal hard drive allows the file to open normally.  No changes in file permission or other FM setting have been changed or appear to have been corrupted.  Suggestions?

Steps to reproduce the problem

Copy a working file to an attached hard drive.

Expected result

Should result in a file that cannot be opened.

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear
