Summary

Filemaker 12 Accessibility Inspector tags don't work on Instant Web Publishing

Product

FileMaker Server

Version

12

Operating system version

Windows Server 2008

Description of the issue

I have a database I want to publish to the web, but I also want it to be accessible to screen readers.  Filemaker 12 has a great new feature in its Accessibility Inspector, but the tags don't work with Instant Web Publishing.

Is there a way to make these tags work, or does it only work in Filemaker Pro.  If only Filemaker Pro, isn't that shortsighted?  The place we really need accessibility is in our web publishing.  Why give the option for alt tags if it doesn't translate to IWP?

Steps to reproduce the problem

Tag fields in any database and publish to Instant Web Publishing

Expected result

When using a screen reader, the title and help will be read by the screen reader

Actual result

The screen reader just says "Edit text" on any field you enter.

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

none

Workaround

I switched from FM11 to FM 12 and 12 Server Advanced
