Summary

FileMaker 13 Pro on Yosemite has a problem with the Temporary Folder

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

13.03

Operating system version

10.10

Description of the issue

With Yosemite, FileMaker's Temporary folder seems to expire or time-out or otherwise 'get lost' in longer work sessions. Scripts that attempt to access the folder will work as they did in Mavericks when first launched. Later if  the work session becomes lengthy errors are thrown up about how FileMaker can't find its temporary folder.  Restart Filemaker and those script steps work again. I turned off App Nap but that didn't fix it. There definitely seems to be a temporal aspect to this bug. I've seen it now about 6 or 7 times, all in the same context.

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Use FM 13.03 and Mac OS 10.10
2. Leave Filemaker open 1 hour
3. Try to save to Temporary Folder with FileMaker script's "Get(TemporaryPath)"

Expected result

Write to / access to temporary folder  (PDF file being created in this example)

Actual result

Filemaker error about not able to find temporary folder

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

Didn't record/capture that.

Configuration information

Mac Pro 2009
32 GIG RAM

Workaround

Restart FileMaker and immediately re-perform action.
