Obviously, something has changed, and you have given some possibilities.
What kind of update fixed the print problem? Was this a FileMaker update or a printer driver update?
Being logged on all day should not be a problem, as you know from experience the last two years (with the exception of the past couple of weeks/months).
What other programs are running on that computer? Is this a Windows computer or Mac computer? What version of the operating system?
Has there been any other problems on the network in the last couple of months?
Any additional information would help me narrow down the possibilities.
The FileMaker update was off of this forum (fmp_8.5v2_win_updater.exe). The dispatch computer is a Dell Dimension E310 and uses windows xp media edition version 2002 w/ service pack 3. I believe Filemaker, AVG antivirus, HP digital image monitor, and Citrix run on it constantly. With occasional use of Microsoft office 2003 (recently installed), outlook, and Internet explorer. The server on the network is a Dell Power Edge 840 using Windows Server 2003 R2 Standard Edition w/ Service Pack, and we are using Filemaker Server 8.
No other problems have been reported.
