Filemaker Go 12 allows portals to show and fields to function through a sliding tab object

      Summary

Filemaker Go 12 allows portals to show and fields to function through a sliding tab object

      Product

      FileMaker Go

      Version

      Go_iPad 12.0.2 and Go_iPad 12.0.4

      Operating system version

      iOS 5.1.1

      Description of the issue

A tab object is set to anchor right, top, and bottom.  Position Left: 0, Top: 0.  This tab object is the front most object on the layout.

Below this tab object are global portal filter fields and a scrolling portal. These objects are anchored left, top, bottom.

If using FM Go 11 this will allow the the portal on the left side of the screen to be displayed when the iPad is rotated to landscape position, and hide completely in Portrait position.

On FM Go 12 the portal and it's fields will show through the tab panel and objects on the tab panel as if floating above. The portal and its fields are fully functional.  This issue was reported before and acknowledged by FileMaker.  However I have also discovered that fields, the portal filter fields, will not display through the tab panel, but are fully functional.

      Steps to reproduce the problem

A tab object is set to anchor right, top, and bottom.  Position Left: 0, Top: 0.  This tab object is the front most object on the layout.

Below this tab object are global portal filter fields and a scrolling portal. These objects are anchored left, top, bottom.

Open the file in FM Go 12 and see these objects will do as described above.

      Expected result

Fields, portals, and buttons below and covered by a sliding tab object will not display or be functional if that area of the screen is touched.

      Actual result

Fields, portals, and buttons below and covered by a sliding tab object are displayed and fields that are not displayed are still fully functional if the screen is touched at there location.

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

      NA

      Workaround

The only work around which I have not really wanted to do is the use a on timer script trigger  to switch layouts if the screen size changes when the iPad is rotated.  When it works in FM Go 11 it would be nice to have it also work in FM Go 12 without having to redesign the software always having that trigger script running in the background every 1/2 second or so.
