Summary

FileMaker Pro v.11 crashes when printing to network printer

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

ver 11 advanced

Operating system version

Mac OSX 10.6.4

Description of the issue

Every time I print something from Filemaker, either to a network printer or a PDF, it crashes with the message that "an unexpected error has occured", then closes.
The print job gets printed, but FM closes, then won't restart, with the following message:

"The maximum number of licensed users are currently using this copy of FileMaker Pro. Please refer to the License Key section of your software documentation for further instructions.

License Key conflict occurred with user “xxxx (xx iMac) [1xx.1xx.9x.5x]”.

All files will be closed and the application will quit."

The problem is a two-part problem:
1. program crash
2. inability to restart because of confused licensing detection.
There is only one copy of FM running, but the system thinks that it is still running. Restarting the computer will solve the second problem.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Print anything from Filemaker to network printer or PDF.

Expected result

Print job and return to FM

Actual result

FM Quit unexpectedly

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

"Filemaker Pro Advanced quit unexpectedly"

"The maximum number of licensed users are currently using this copy of FileMaker Pro. Please refer to the License Key section of your software documentation for further instructions.

License Key conflict occurred with user “xxxx (xx iMac) [1xx.1xx.9x.5x]”.
