Sounds like you may have encountered this issue: FileMaker Server
This is one of many acknowledged bugs that can be found in the Known Bug List here in the Report an Issue section of the forum.
It can also be downloaded as a database file from: http://www.4shared.com/file/8orL8apk/FMP_Bugs.html
Thanks for the update. Is this issue now resolved in any new FileMaker Server patch?
Not that I know of. I try to keep the lists updated when an issue is fixed by an update.
Issue: "memory occupied by fmxdbc_listener.exe grows up to block of xdbc"Anybody knows if there is any patch from FileMaker to fix this issue?
To check on available patches, go to the downloads page in the support menu at the top of this screen. The available patches are listed along with info on what problems they correct.
I can also report the same problem.
I hope this is resolved soon as i need to login to my client's site twice a day and disable then enable ODBC/JDBC to flush it.
Yes. Disabling and enabling ODBC/JDBC option is just a temporary workaround but that also doesn't work few times. In that case we need restart entire FileMaker Server service.
I have not had to retart the FM Server service. What I do is disable ODBC/JDBC and then watch the xdmc_listener.exe process in task manager, it slowly unwinds itself down to 100MB or so then quits. I then re-enable ODBC/JDBC.
If you re-enable before the xdmc_listener.exe unwinds and disappears then it doesn't always work.
If I had to restart FM Server Service it would be a really big problem because I would have to disconnect 50 users!
