    FileMaker Won't Quit

    infoCypher

      Summary

      FileMaker Won't Quit

      Product

      FileMaker Pro

      Version

      12.0v1

      Operating system version

      Mac OS X 10.7.3

      Description of the issue

I wish I could be more specific re: when this happens, but I have been unable to quit FileMaker on several occasions, and I can't pinpoint what is causing this to happen.  The command-Q doesn't work, quitting from the Dock doesn't work, quitting from the FileMaker menu doesn't work.  The only way I've found to get around this is to go to another application and come back.  Then it quits.

      Steps to reproduce the problem

      Try to quit FileMaker Pro.

      Expected result

      FileMaker should quit.

      Actual result

No response at all from FileMaker Pro.

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

      None.

      Workaround

Leave the application (go to the Finder or somewhere else), and then come back to FileMaker.

          Thank you for your post.

What other applications do you have open?  Is there a specific application you switch to?  Do you have any plug-ins installed?  When this happens again, write down what steps you were performing just prior to this.  The sequence may provide a clue.
