      Summary

Floating windows and scripts performed from the Manage Scripts window.

      Product

      FileMaker Pro

      Version

      12

      Operating system version

      10.7.4

      Description of the issue

With a floating window present and another window primary in focus if you decide to run a script from the Manage Scripts window. There are cases where the script when performed will attempt to run the script on the floating window.

      Steps to reproduce the problem

      See attachment

      http://dl.dropbox.com/u/231254/floatWindow.fmp12.zip

      Expected result

The last window in focus to retain the target for when running a script.

      Actual result

The floating window becomes focus and the script will execute out of context potentially with negative results.

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

only errors if the script targets any un referenced elements not designed for the context of the floating window.

      Workaround

Avoid using floating windows or provide explicit calls on ALL scripts to trap for window names or explicitly require all scripts to select target window.
