FM 14: Scripts in their own window have no indication whether they are full-access
Operating system version
OS X 10.10.3
Description of the issue
Probably the worst decision in the redesign of the Script WorkSpace in FileMaker 14 is the fact that when you are working on a script in its own window, you no longer have a visual indication of whether or not that script has been granted full access privileges or not... nor do you have an easy way to change this information.
Do you really expect developers to go all the way up to the "Scripts" menu at the top of the screen, and then look for the words "Grant" or "Revoke" to try to figure out whether the script has full access privileges or not -- which would be the OPPOSITE of the word listed? If it says "grant", then there are NO full-access privileges assigned to the script. If it says "Revoke", then there ARE full-access privileges assigned to the script.
Even when the script is in its own tab (not in its own window), you still have to find the script in the left margin just to find that little person icon to indicate that it has been granted full access privileges.
This is all just terrible. This used to be SO INCREDIBLY EASY IN ALL PREVIOUS VERSIONS OF FILEMAKER PRO. It was just a CHECKBOX in every single script, that we could see at a glance, and we could check or uncheck. What could be easier than that?
This is actually a very important feature that needs to be made more prominent in FileMaker 14 (not hidden away in a menu somewhere, and not hidden away as an icon in a list somewhere), and the fact that this was hidden away shows that FMI doesn't understand the importance of this feature and how often developers need to use it and need to refer to it.
Please make this a visual checkbox within the script at al times, just like it used to be. This is something that definitely should NOT have changed in FileMaker 14. One step forward, two steps back. Let's get this fixed ASAP.
