Summary

FM 8.5 no longer sharing since Mavericks upgrade

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

8.5

Operating system version

OS 10.9

Description of the issue

Since upgrading to Mavericks, we can no longer share files. Files were opened on the host computer & accessed through "open remote". Sharing enabled thru TCP. No changes made to FM app before the upgrade. Even though NO files are open, computers have all been rebooted, some computers (6 FM licenses) are using Mt. Lion, two computers using Mavericks, the same message appears "Filemaker cannot share files because another user is already sharing files using Filemaker Pro on this computer."
Suspect a TCP issue as one other app using TCP had a conflict with Mavericks (Timbuktu Pro), but developers for Timbuktu issued an update. I HOPE Filemaker will address this issue as we can't afford to upgrade our Filemaker. 8.5 worked fine until 10.9.

Steps to reproduce the problem

1. Open FM app
2. Open a FM file, any file -- above message appears. File will open, but only one user can access the file at any time.

Expected result

Our expected result would be to share files as we did with 10.8.

Actual result

Filemaker cannot share files because another user is already sharing files using Filemaker Pro on this computer

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

Filemaker cannot share files because another user is already sharing files using Filemaker Pro on this computer

Configuration information

10.9 OS.

Workaround

None
