FM Advanced Pro 11.0v2 Mac crashes during data editing in table layouts
In Browse mode displaying a table layout, clicking in a data cell to edit existing data sometimes causes a crash. The problem seems to occur when the field is highlighted and then the mouse moves.
Having crashed, the entire system freezes except that moving the mouse to the left or right causes the left or right sides of the data cell to highlight. All other mouse activity is disabled. The only solution is a forced shutdown of the system [Cmnd-Cntrl-Power Key] and restart. On restart everything is back to normal.
There are no other known bugs in my system and all other applications run perfectly.
See description above. I haven't yet perceived a definite pattern.
Any user should be able to move a mouse while a field is highlighted without crashing the application.
No error messages appear - the system just crashes
MacBook Pro 4,1 Intel Core Duo 2.5GHz
Logitech MX620 Laser Cordless Mouse
Extreme care not to move the mouse if a field is highlighted ! Which is an unacceptable restriction on normal working
Can you confirm this occurs on more than one file?
If you haven't already, create a simple test file with just a few fields and try to replicate the problem.
