      Summary

FM Pro 9 does not start using mac os 10.6.4

      Description of the issue

I have seen similar issues with Mac OS 10.6.3. I just upgraded from Mac OS 10.5.8 to 10.6.4 on an AirBook. I followed the apple dialogue box to install Rosetta when I first start FM. I found the fix on this website to install and reinstall FileMaker. It did not work. I am using a site license version of FM. Could this be part of the problem? Thank you for your post.

I just installed a site license version of FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced onto a MacBook Pro running OS X 10.6.4, and I am then able to launch FileMaker Pro and open a database file, so the site license version of FileMaker Pro is not a factor.

Do you have more than just a standard install?  That is, do you have any plug-ins installed?

Try rebooting your computer and launch FileMaker Pro without any other applications running.  Same issue?

Do you have access to another OS X 10.6.4 machine?  If so, for testing purposes, install FileMaker Pro 9 on that machine and see if it works.

Any other information you can provide may be helpful.
