Is this all in the same file or have you seen it happen in multiple files. A crash can be due to a damaged file and a crash can damage a file. For both reasons, it would be a good idea to run a recover on your file to check it for damage.
If you see crashes with 10.10 in multiple files--especially a newly created file, this suggests an issue with either 10.10 or your particular install of filemaker on your particular computer. If only one file shows this crash behavior, it's probably due to a damaged file, even if it recovers "cleanly".
Great point, Phil - I just recovered the file and will start using that. I am having other crash issues with 10.10 - Mail is crashing consistently. I got rid of my mail preferences, hopefully that will help. I don't know, I'm feeling a bit paranoid about Yosemite!
Same here under 10.10 on MacPro (late 2013), current MBPro and late 2012 MacMini all in FM Pro 11.
It seems like FM is not the issue here but OS X 10.10 is.
