Summary

FM Servers drops off the newtork

Product

FileMaker Server

Version

13

Operating system version

Mac OS 10.9.5

Description of the issue

Strange problem. I have two different Mac Mini's running identical versions of Mac OS 10.9.5 and FMS 13, both fully updated. Both are on the same network switch. Both have been running without a problem for many months. All of a sudden both of these different fm servers are dropping off the network. If I restart the server, all is well for a few hours and then the network problems begin. Folks launch FMP client and open remote, the FMservers appear in the remote hosts list but the databases do not. I know that the servers are still up and running, because if I launch FMP client on the server itself, I can open remote and see and open files hosted on the local host.

I have swapped cables and switch ports, still no joy. The switch itself shows no errors or drops on the ports used by the two FMservers.

Anyone see this before? of have a clue what might be going on?

Tom
