Summary

FMP 11 Save Records as PDF not working with Citrix mapped drive

Description of the issue

We have a system with many scripts that use the Save Records as PDF script step to save PDF files to a Citrix client's local disk ( C: ), which is mapped to V: on the Citrix host. This works perfectly with FileMaker Pro 10. When testing with FileMaker Pro 11 we found that the PDF files are usually not created (it does occasionally work, more often on a Mac client than a Windows client, but it usually fails on both). Most of the time, the following error is displayed: "[MyFile.pdf] could not be created on this disk. Use a different name, make more room on the disk, unlock it or use a different disk" The same error occurs with the Save/Send Records as PDF menu command when attempting to save to the mapped drive. This Citrix server is running Microsoft Windows Server 2003 R2, Standard x64 Edition, SP2 with Citrix XenApp 5. We've tried various Citrix clients from 10.0 up to the latest 12.0 on Windows and 11.1 on Mac. The only workaround we've found is to use FMP 10. This may be related to the following issue: http://forum-en.filemaker.com/t5/Report-a-bug/FM11-Save-as-PDF-doesn-t-work-for-networked-files/td-p/61072
