A known issue exists when installing FileMaker Server 12v4:
"After you install FileMaker Server, the Deployment assistant may not open automatically. To manually open the Deployment assistant, double-click the admin_console_webstart.jnlp file."

Some questions that may assist us in narrowing this down:
1. Has more than one browser been tried?
2. Does the .jnlp file actually download? If so, move the .jnlp file to the desktop and try double-clicking the file.
3. Was the full installer from KB 11601 used for the installation?

Thank you! Have un-installed FMS 12, re-installed Java 7 v21, cleared Java cache, installed Firefox and made it prime browser. Then re-installed FMS 12v4 as suggested in your Admin Console WIll Not Launch after Upgrade 12v4 link.
This time the console loads and I am now working on the set up with everything looking as expected.
Speedy solution, very helpful.
I´ll try it with the next installation.
