Thank you for your post.
We are aware of this issue. FileMaker Pro makes a specific Mac OS X call to save as PDF, and this inconsistency has been forwarded to Apple. It is also more evident with bolded text.
Until this is changed, continue using the Print PDF option.
Is this issue specific to Dax light or a particular group of fonts?
Have Apple gave you a solution? I have the same problem in some Greek specific fonts. The option to print as pdf, is a lot of tricky, Because you cann't save the pdf to a specific location with a script, as you can do with the save as PDF.
I have not heard from anyone since the original reply.
It seems some older fonts don't print when using newer systems.
I have changed the default font to help with this but its not a great solution.

Thank you for you posts, and I apologize for the late reply.
There are several similar problems related to foreign characters where they print fine but do not generate properly in PDF. Some don't work with Mac and/or Windows. I see there are issues with Greek characters with Windows (∂, ∑, ∏, π, Ω, etc.). Also, some mac-encloded characters converted to Windows become unknown.
There is no further information from Development. Continue to use the Print PDF option.
Lee this it not a solution to change the font because Filemaker does not understand the fonts and the characters.
Why other applications on both Mac and Windows show and print fonts correctly? This bug is known to Filemaker for more than a year, and does nothing.
Why? why we must use the Print to PDF option? in which we can not use tha functionality that Filemaker give us?
