Thank you for your post.
I see your screen shots, but I'm a little confused what I'm missing. I asked the Forum Administrator to take a look, and he isn't sure what to look for. It could be that we are so used to everything that we aren't recognizing the big picture. Could you explain a bit more? I'm feeling more dense than usual.
Its only an observation... here it is in some more self explanatory images (I hope)
1. Your forum pages with a narrow browser width (or narrow screen).
Note... there are no horizontal scroll bars in the browser at this width either, so its the designed minimum width.
Your forum again, except with text selected to show up the columns in the table.
Now here is what I think it should be looking like at the same width.. I quickly edited it so its not pixel perfect ;-)
So as you can see, by removing the excess margin from the author column, you are giving more room for the description, which is the part that matters most when trying to browse through the forum, the smaller text means each topic takes up 3 lines instead of 1 or 2 for long descriptions... lots more scrolling and harder to read.
The longest author on this page was the email one in the screenshots, as you can see in the real screenshots, this wraps to the next line way before the actual column borders.
Its minor, but would accommodate for those with lower resolutions much better.
A picture tells a thousand words!
This is very clear. Thanks for taking the time to explain in greater detail.
I have forwarded the Forum Administrator this thread and see if anything can be done.
Hmmm... Wonder how the title ended up with "IlefttheKNob" at the end ???
Not something I am likely to type, nor remember typing (even by accident lol) ???? Very weird
P.S... Your Welcome ;-)
