Description of the issue

Get ( HostApplicationVersion ) fails on FileMaker Server 12.0.v4, getting "Server 12.0v3" instead of "Server 12.0v4".

Steps to reproduce the problem

STEP 1
Uninstall your FileMaker Server 12.0.v3
Install your FileMaker Server 12.0.v4 following carefully FMS Getting Started Instructions, in particular Chapter 5.
STEP 2
Open the FileMaker Server start page with your favorite browser and check the version displayed on the page's center.
STEP 3
Open the FileMaker Server Admin Console and check the version displayed on the bottom of first presentation section.
STEP 4
Open an hosted database with FileMaker Pro 12.0v4 Advanced and open the data viewer
On the watch tab, add the following expression :
Get ( HostApplicationVersion )
Press the Monitor button.

Expected result

Both information must be similar :
FileMaker Server start page displaying "12.0.4.405".
FileMaker Server Admin Console also displaying "12.0.4.405".
FileMaker Pro 12.0v4 Advanced's data viewer displaying "Server 12.0v4".

Actual result

Both FileMaker Server start page and FileMaker Server Admin Console are displaying the correct version : "12.0.4.405".
BUT, FileMaker Pro 12.0v4 Advanced's data viewer is displaying "Server 12.0v3".
Conclusions :
It is not possible to display the correct server version on layouts with a calculated field nor by inserting the specific symbol.
It is not possible to detect the correct server version on scripts.
