      Summary

Gloabal Fields not filled when working with FileMaker Server 10.0v3

      Description of the issue

Configuration:Server: shared database, located on a FileMaker Server 10.0v3 running MacOSX Server 10.6.2Client: FileMaker Advanced 10.0v3 running MacOSX 10.6.2 Problem:Editing a global field of the database, validating it by pressing enter, quitting filemaker on the client and restarting filemaker-> the global field is not modified. If the database is edited locally, the global field is correctly updated (text or multimedia). This problem doesn't occur on other normal fields.

This is normal behavior of global in a hosted environment.

If you open the file locally and set a global value, then host the file on FM server, then open the hosted copy, the value you set locally will be there. (and the same value will be there for all users everytime they log in, they can change it but it will revert to what was set locally when they log in the next time.)

You may think about setting the field in an opening script or create a table with non-global fields to store users values between sessions.
