Summary

Global field as match field doesn't work steady on hosted data base

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

13/14

Operating system version

Mac/win

Description of the issue

When using a global field, either as calculation field or data, in a relationship, the relation won't work steady when the database is hosted (either with FMP or server). The related data are not shown until a new record is created in the table which encloses the global field. Sometimes several commits and usage of the relationship in a script helps, but not always. In the data viewer, the value of the global field is always display right.

The database is not used directly but as external datasource for a local data base, the non functional relationship is within the hosted database. Getting the windows of the hosted database in the front also helps to fix the problem.

Configuration information

This occurs with FMP13, FMP14, FMS13 and FMS14
