Guides disappear if database is hosted

Guides disappear if database is hosted

      FileMaker Pro

      12.0v1 ETS

      Operating system version

      OS X 10.7.3

      Description of the issue

Layout Guides disappear after closing a database and open it again.

      Steps to reproduce the problem

a database is hosted by the FMPServer:

      - Enter Layout Mode
      - Define a new Guide
      - Enable Guide-option "share Guide with all layouts"
      - close database (enter Browse mode before or not)
      - open database

      every Shared Guides are gone

      Expected result

Guides should never disappear (unless I deleted them)

      Actual result

I spent about 4 hours adjusting many Guides and they are all gone now.

          Thank you for your post.

At this time, Shared Guides will not update the hosted file.  Only shared guides created on the host shows on the client machines.

I encourage you to enter this into our Feature Requests web form at:

The entries into this web form populate a database file that is monitored by Development and Product Management where the entries are then discussed and considered for a future release.  Although I could copy your post and paste it into the web form, there are a couple of questions asked that only you can answer.
