a database is hosted by the FMPServer:

      - Define a new Guide
      - Enable Guide-option "share Guide with all layouts"
      - close database (enter Browse mode before or not)

          Thank you for your post.

At this time, Shared Guides will not update the hosted file.  Only shared guides created on the host shows on the client machines.

I encourage you to enter this into our Feature Requests web form at:

          http://www.filemaker.com/company/contact/feature_request.html

The entries into this web form populate a database file that is monitored by Development and Product Management where the entries are then discussed and considered for a future release.  Although I could copy your post and paste it into the web form, there are a couple of questions asked that only you can answer.
