Summary

Hanging indent bug in FileMaker Pro Advanced 11.0v3

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

FileMaker Pro Advanced 11.0v3

Operating system version

Mac OS X 10.6.7

Description of the issue

Whilst still working for existing fields imported from previous FileMaker versions it is not possible to enter negative indents in the Paragraph formatting inspector to create "hanging indents".

Steps to reproduce the problem

Create text field, invoke inspector, go to second tab "Appearance" and try to set the Indents to {-0.5, 0.5, 0} cm.

Expected result

Accept this indent setting to create hanging indents as depicted below:

sdfkhdkfhjkhfjkhjkhjfsdkjhfhsd kjds kjh dfjk dsjk hk
kdshfj fjkds fjkh sdfh j hsdfh jkdsh fkjh kjsd
     dskjfhjk kjds jhkfsd jkh

Actual result

FileMaker does not accept a negative number for the first-line indent.

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

Beep.

Workaround

It is possible to duplicate a previous field, such as one imported from a previous version of FileMaker which has a negative first-line indent and use that field. Hanging indents do work, it seems that the input check in the inspector is the single problem (not accepting negative numbers). See attached screendump with negative indent imported from a previous version.
