Henk De Haan:
Thank you for your post.
Instead of going into great detail on this post, I recommend reading the "Introduction to Charting in FileMaker Pro 12" via Knowledge Base Article #10227 at:
The document can also be accessed directly at:
This should give you a good starting point.
TSGAL: Thank you for your post. I read the suggested documentation, and it doesn't seem to explain how to add tick marks (major and/or minor to the X-axis (horizontal axis) of a line graph, but only labels. Since FM 13 also doesn't allow you to add a vertical grid to your graphs, navigating a graph is not easy. I added two image of an example graph to illustrate what I mean.
Henk De Haan:
At this time, you cannot insert tick marks in the chart. The X-axis and Y-axis data will expand and contract automatically. If you need more options along the X-axis, then size the chart to be wider. For the Y-axis, make the chart taller.
I recommend that you enter this suggestion into our Feature Requests web form at:
The entries into this web form automatically populate a database that is hosted and monitored by Product Management and Development. All entries are discussed and considered for future releases. Although I could copy your post and paste it into the web form, there are a few questions asked on the web form that only you can answer.
