Summary

Incorrect windows behaviour when FM Window is maximised (Windows OS only)

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

12.1 Adv

Operating system version

Windows 7 64 bit

Description of the issue

In the above captioned Release version of FileMaker, the script step "Select Window [Currrent Window]" results in a window resizing action to perhaps  ca 90 % of its original size followed by a maximization to its initial size (= maximal/full screen) which is irritating for the user (database consists of 2 files interacting)
------------------
In the above captioned Release version of FileMaker, the script step "Go to related records" results in a window resizing action to perhaps ca 90 % of its original size followed by a maximization to its initial size (= maximal/full screen) which is irritating for the user(database consists of 2 files interacting)

Steps to reproduce the problem

a) Download the testfiles:
www.contoba.de/FM12/1/Window_behaviour.zip
b) see the short video sequence:
www.contoba.de/FM12/1/unbenannt2.html
which demonstrate the problem visually

1) maximise the Window of FileMaker
2) open the file a.fmp12. (File b.fmp12 has to be stored as well) from Step a)
3)      klick on "incorrect window behavior". The script has the only purpose to activate a window in a 2nd file whis is part of the solution.
In the above captioned Release version of FileMaker, the script step Select Window [Currrent Window] results in a window resizing action to perhaps  ca 90 % of its original size followed by a maximization to its initial size (= maximal/full screen) which is irritating for the user
4)      klick on "incorrect window behavior (II)". The script has the only purpose to activate a related record in a 2nd file part of a solution.
In the above captioned Release version of FileMaker, the script step Go to related records results in a window resizing action to perhaps ca 90 % of its original size followed by a maximization to its initial size (= maximal/full screen) which is irritating for the user

Expected result

Like in former FileMaker Versions maximised windows should not change its size by the above used Sript Steps, once the main window of the application Filemaker was maximised.

Actual result

See above
