Summary

iPad 3G Connection to Online Hosted Database Fails to Connect

Product

FileMaker Go

Version

1.0.3

Operating system version

iOS 3.2.2

Description of the issue

I have the same database hosted at austinmichael.com and fmgateway.com. They both have the same issue. If I connect to my database hosted on either site on Filemaker Go on my iPad using WIFI, it works beautifully. If I'm using 3G, It will not connect. It won't recognize either sites and won't open the databases.

Not to complicate matters, but it might be useful to know, that if I'm on 3G and use VPN to connect to my network at work. I can connect to the databases on either hosting site, no problem (though it is obviously slow going over 3G through VPN back through 3G). Also to note is that using my iPhone 4 with Filemaker Go over 3G works fine.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Boot iPad with 3G, test for internet connection. Open Filemaker Go, Goto any Database hosted on a web accessible server (fmgateway or austinmichael.com is what I've been using). Receive error message

Expected result

Logon credentials popup to login to database

Actual result

Error message saying it is not available

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

The file "File Name" could not be opened. Either the host is not available, or the file is not available on that host.
