Summary

Moving items in Manage Scripts and Manage Layouts by keyboard shortcut doesn't work

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

11

Operating system version

Mac OS X

Description of the issue

The keyboard shortcut for moving scripts in the Manage Scripts window and for moving layouts in the Manage Layouts window doesn't work on Mac OS X. The keyboard shortcut is Control-Up Arrow for moving up the list and Control-Down Arrow for moving down the list.

The keyboard shortcut has changed from Command-Down/Up Arrow in FileMaker Pro 10 and FileMaker Pro 10 Advanced.

Steps to reproduce the problem

1) Open either Manage Scripts or Manage Layouts from the File Menu
2) Select a script/layout
3) Type Control-Down Arrow to move the script/layout down a position

Expected result

The script/layout's position is changed and the script/layout that was originally below it is now above it.

This worked fine in FileMaker Pro 10 and FileMaker Pro 10 Advanced on Mac OS X.

It also works fine in other areas of FileMaker Pro 11 and FileMaker Pro 11 Advanced. Other areas that work are: Edit Script window, Manage Database (Tables tab and Fields tab) window, Manage Security window, Manage Value Lists window, Manage External Data Sources window, Manage Custom Functions window, and Manage Custom Menus window.

Actual result

The script/layout below the originally selected script/layout is now selected.

Configuration information

This works fine in FileMaker Pro on Windows.

Workaround

Drag the script/layout manually with the mouse. Very unproductive when working mainly from the keyboard.
