Question asked by eric on May 29, 2013

Summary

ODBC Import of TIMESTAMP(6)

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

12.x

Operating system version

Windows XP

Description of the issue

Selecting an Oracle field of type TIMESTAMP(6) (e.g. LASTUPDDTTM) and importing into a FileMaker Pro Timestamp field works fine on my Mac, but crashes FileMaker Pro in Windows.

Steps to reproduce the problem

On Windows XP, Import ODBC
SELECT C.LASTUPDDTTM
FROM sysadm.PS_STDNT_GRPS_HIST C

Expected result

Timestamps

Actual result

Crash

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

AppName: filemaker pro advanced.exe      AppVer: 12.0.4.403      ModName: oracore8.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0      Offset: 000023f5

C:\DOCUME~1\matthews\LOCALS~1\Temp\5311_appcompat.txt

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-16"?>

...    etc.

Workaround

Must use a Mac to import or specify the following on Windows instead:

SELECT TO_CHAR(C.LASTUPDDTTM,'MM/DD/YYYY HH24:MI:SS')
FROM sysadm.PS_STDNT_GRPS_HIST C
