Again, this is an expansion of the scope for the existing bug. I know about the workarounds from the kBase, but this bug ALSO appears in the printed script definition, FileMaker developers have no way to affect this. I can hope that the FMI engineers fix this minor problem as they fix the larger one. I was looking for a way to let them know about the additional place where this bug shows up, and it seems these ghastly forums are the only available current method....

That makes sense, thanks for thinking of linking this in to the larger thread, I'm so aware of the Lion issues that I only saw it as an extension of the situation. I never thought about someone else trying to figure out about why their script definitions were printing with Chinese in the dates as their 'symptom' and then stumbling into the much larger issue of date formatting with Lion that a developer can work around.
