Summary

Page number in header does not print as shown in preview

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

FMPA 12.0v2

Operating system version

Mac OS X 10.7.4

Description of the issue

In both Browse mode and Preview mode, the {{PageNumber}} variable in the header shows Page 1 as being Page 1. However, when I actually print the page, it says Page 0. (And so on.)

Steps to reproduce the problem

Insert {{PageNumber}} variable in header. Try to print. Works every time.

Expected result

Whatever appears on screen in Preview mode should show up the same way on paper.

Actual result

see above

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

no error message

Configuration information

The file was converted from .FP7 but otherwise seems to be working OK.

Workaround

Instead of inserting the page number using FMP native commands, use a merge form of a calculation field:

If (
  Found > 20;
  " • Page " & Get ( PageNumber ) + 1 & " of " & Int ( Found / 20 ) + 1;
  ""
)

which includes artificially adding 1 to the page number.
