Description of the issue

password has been working with this mac OS.and system configuration. no changes that I recall, but one file just started opening without password protection. Other password protected file asks for password. so I can only sumrise that it is the file itself.
steps to fix did not work.
1. rechecked and reentered password and login
2. zap PRam,
3. repaired permissions
4. put filemaker folder from user/preferences, and following files on desktop: com.filemaker.pro8A.plist, com.filemaker.runtime8.plist, FileMaker Pro 8.0A Prefs. then logged out and logged back in, then restarted FM by clicking on password protected database in dock. File opens without asking for password.

Steps to reproduce the problem

clicking on password protected database in dock.

Expected result

file  should be  asking for password and username

Actual result

File opens without asking for password.

none

Configuration information

mac os 10.6.4, filemaker pro advanced 8.0.v3, Macbook black early 2008, 4GB RAM

Workaround

i have not found a work around.
i suppose there is a way to move the data to a new database that would have a password that would work, but i have not tried to do such a thing.
