Summary

Paste adds a leading space

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

Advanced 11.0v2

Operating system version

Mac OS X 10.5.8

Description of the issue

If I copy a 'word' (i.e. double-click to select and copy), when I paste into the 'Specify Calculation' area for a 'Set Field' calculation, an unexpected leading space is also inserted when there is text already present. This is unwanted behaviour most of the time and is not consistent with previous versions (pre-11)...

Steps to reproduce the problem

In a 'Specify Calculation' dialog, type (without the inverted commas) "TableOccurrenceName::FieldName". Now double-click "FieldName" and cut it. Then, without any other action; paste.

Expected result

TableOccurrenceName::FieldName (as happens in this environment, for instance!)

Actual result

TableOccurrenceName:: FieldName (there is a space twixt '::' & 'Field...' )

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

None - unless it WAS a field name, in which case it is now not recognised when I exit the calculation!

Configuration information

Not sure. Tell me if anything else is needed. It IS the same in OS X 10.6.4...
