Thank you for the post.
I am unsure if Foxit 6.1 allows this functionality. I will test later today when I have access to a Windows computer with Foxit.
Is the container field set as "Interactive"? Does the option return if you install the free version of Adobe Reader?
Thanks for looking into this.
Isn't a container always interactive? If not I do not know where to make it intactive?
PS In the past I had it working, but it could have been using the Adobe pdf browser plug-in ... (not sure, cannot check it anymore)
sorry, found the setting, it is interactive
- has always been interactive; did NOT made it interactive today
Thank you for the reply.
I was able to test a Windows 7 computer with Foxit and without Adobe Reader.
Interactive content does not appear to load with Foxit.
I was able to right-click and the "Insert PDF" option was available to me; however, after choosing the file to insert, I am asked to save or open the file.
As a next step, install Adobe Reader to see if the option returns for you.
Please keep me updated with any progress.
Just installed the Adobe reader.
Now everything seems to work; i.e. have pdf insert; and a pdf reader starts when I click a pdf document.
So it does not seem to be an FM issue
- although you could consider (in your help files/forum) to warn people about this.
I will inform Foxit that bthere seems to be something 'weird' with their reader.
Thanks for helping
Would like to elaborate a little:
- Is there a way to check which browser plug-in (any detail) FM is using.
Maybe you could enahnce your FM help by elaborating a bit more how the browser plug-in mechanism works
- so that user can do some checking by themselves.
You might consider to add a [SOLVED] indication to a subject in the forum
- for casual users it might be nice(r) to look for solved issues; i.e. you are actually not really interested in question but in solutions ;-)
Thank you for the reply.
"Is there a way to check which browser plug-in (any detail) FM is using."
FileMaker Pro or FileMaker Pro Advanced will use the operating system's default.

This is not a feature at this time, and I agree the goal is to find the solution; however, this forum does allow the original poster to choose a "best answer" which is indicated to other viewers by a green circle with a white checkmark by the "best answer" comment in the thread and by the thread title in the list of reports.
