PDF's don't play on Mac when hosted from Windows

Description of the issue

PDF's inserted into container fields formatted as interactive play on Windows clients but not on Mac clients.

The same file, hosted from Apple boxes with different OSes allow playing the pdf on Mac clients.

Steps to reproduce the problem

Using script step Insert File[], insert a pdf. Container uses RC, Open storage. Field is formatted as Interactive. In the Dialog Options, 'Display Content of File (when possible)' is selected.

Expected result

Ability to manipulate the pdf inside the container field.

Actual result

Works on Windows when hosted from Windows, but not on !0.6.8 or 10.8.2. The pdf is definitely there-- its size and name can be retrieved, and it can be exported using Export Field Contents.

Instead, nothing is visible in the container.

Configuration information

Servers:
Windows Server 2008 R2, FMSA 12 v2
MBP 10.6.8, FMSA 12 v2
Mac Mini 10.8.2, FMS 12 v2

Clients:
The same boxes, but from one to the other. Also tried an iMac 10.6.8
