          Datagrace:

          Thank you for your post.

The error message "unable to load resource" usually means there are extra files in the cache from previous installations.  Go into Java Cache viewer and remove the extra files and try again.

Control Panels -> Java -> General -> View Temporary Internet Files

Let me know if you are still having difficulty.

            Thank you-- that worked.

PHP Site Assistant will not launch for me. I'm running 10.5.5 and Filemaker Server 10 is running well. It does PHP Web Publishing okay. TSGal, you wrote that Datagrace may have leftovers in Java Cache in Windows. Maybe that's my problem, except I'm on Mac. Where is equivalent in Mac?

Here is what PHP Site Assistant Reports when not launching. In the Exception tab:

              com.sun.deploy.net.FailedDownloadException: Unable to load resource: http://localhost:16000/phpsa-lib/commons-httpclient-3.0.1.jarat com.sun.deploy.net.DownloadEngine.actionDownload(DownloadEngine.java:961)at com.sun.deploy.net.DownloadEngine.getCacheEntry(DownloadEngine.java:1059)at com.sun.deploy.net.DownloadEngine.getResourceCacheEntry(DownloadEngine.java:1134)at com.sun.deploy.net.DownloadEngine.getResourceCacheEntry(DownloadEngine.java:1068)at com.sun.deploy.net.DownloadEngine.getResource(DownloadEngine.java:142)at com.sun.javaws.LaunchDownload.downloadJarFiles(LaunchDownload.java:844)at com.sun.javaws.LaunchDownload.downloadEagerorAll(LaunchDownload.java:760)at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.downloadResources(Launcher.java:1185)at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.prepareLaunchFile(Launcher.java:558)at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.prepareToLaunch(Launcher.java:175)at com.sun.javaws.Launcher.launch(Launcher.java:95)at com.sun.javaws.Main.launchApp(Main.java:305)at com.sun.javaws.Main.continueInSecureThread(Main.java:213)at com.sun.javaws.Main$1.run(Main.java:108)at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:613)

               In the Launch File tab:

                Hi Gary,

                Should be Applications/Utilities/Java/Java Preferences.app/Security/Delete Files.

[apologies if this post comes through more than once; it keeps hanging on IE 7]

Thanks John. That was what I needed. PHP Site Assistant is now launching.

I wonder if it was too difficult to design into the FMS 10 Installer the cache cleaning we just did. It makes a big difference and since PHP Site Assistant is supposed to be for beginners, how many would understand the idea of clearing the Java cache.
