Summary

Pictures attempted to be copied into an existing file in FileMaker Pro 8 leaves only a white sqauare

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

8

Operating system version

Windows XP

Description of the issue

I have been working with my FileMaker pro ver. 8 for some years and made a database with alot of photos copied in. The database holds 1000 entries and takes up 800 MB.
It has always worked perfectly well.
But now when I try to copy-paste a picture into a new entry it just leaves a white square where the photo was supposed to be inserted.
Other possible explanations ?

Steps to reproduce the problem

I have tried to copy in an old photo from an existing entry so that I knew for certain that it was not the photo file format that was incompatible. but the result ws the same : Just a white square and no photo. What is wrong ?
Is the file of 800 MB exceeding the max size for a single file ?

Expected result

I thoght it would work.

Actual result

But it didn't.

Exact text of any error message(s) that appear

None. Just the white square where the photo was supposed to be inserted.
