Does it make a difference what kind of value list? Custom values vs. Use Values from a field.
Have you tried this in a brand new "from scratch" file to see if it has the same issue?
In windows XP, I opened a DB file with 3 drop down lists in three different portals. I duplicated the layout and then changed the three drop down lists into pop up menus. When I returned to browse mode all three pop up menus correctly listed all values. All three are value lists that use values from a field.
Perhaps the issue is Mac only, or specific to custom values value lists or perhaps there is a third factor here that we have not yet discovered.
The problem seems to be a little more specific.
My database structure table wise is: Transactions : Items : Products
The values for the drop down list are based (1) Items::id and (2) Products::name
As such I get 1234:productA, 1235:productB and 1236:productA (i,e the productx could be the same, but from a different supplier)
When I use the drop down list I will see all 3 of these selections. When I use the pop-up menu I would see 2 in this example. If all 3 in the example were for productA, I would only see 1. I did some more testing and if I sort by the first value vs the second value, the pop-up menu will show all values.
Ok, that one we know about:
For More Information see: VALUE LISTS NOT WORKING - when show values only from second field is selected
