To gather a bit more detail...
Which method was used to insert the videos?
Is the container field shown optimized for interactive content?
Thanks for taking the time to answer!! Much appreciated.
Insert Quicktime in all of them.
When I re-did the poster frames with Quicktime Pro I reloaded them. The ones which were showing the preview before continue to do so.
The ones who didn't work before continue not to work, though they will show the new poster frame when clicked.
How do you optimize for interactive content? does it work on portals? on found lists?
Optimize for interactive content is an option on the Inspector's data tab. It is specific to a given field option on a given layout. It does not work when the container field is inside a portal.
My main reason for asking these questions was to set this up for a TS person to be able to respond quickly without having to ask additional questions.
The database has many portals since the data is accessed in many ways.
So better keep optimize out.
Is just frustrating that it is totally unreliable or is really not clear why it works with some and not others when they are identical movies.
Do you know if there is a plugin that can deal with this containers and quicktime in a reliable way?
Thanks so much for your answers. Is very nice to get a response. In the quicktime forums they just blame me and refuse to admit the problem, which affects many people.
I'm just "prepping" this thread so that a tech support person can more quickly deal with the issue. If there is a relevant thread in a quicktime forum that adds further detail on this issue, feel free to post it here.
