Same problem with FMP Advanced 11.0v2 and Mac OS 10.6.3
No problem with FMP Advanced 11.0v2 and Mac OS 10.5.7
This is a Known Bug that can be found at: FM 11 Print all records and is also documented in this Knowledge base article: http://help.filemaker.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/7689
It can also be found in the Known Bug List here in the Report an Issue section of the Forum.
Which only goes to prove that searching for something like this is difficult. I did search before posting the problem.
Which is why the Known Bug List was created. It's not perfect by any means, but you can add it to your favorites list and when you think you've found a bug, you can open it and use your browser's text search tool to search the list for keywords to see if anything has already been listed.
You'll also find the database version is much easier to search as you are now performing database searches. If you searched the database before posting, please let me know what criteria you used for searching and I'll review the database design for possible adjustments.
I'm afraid I don't recall just which places I searched, using "print options", but I did spend about half an hour searching. I'll try to do better next time.
Could you please include the URL of the the database of known bugs. Thanks.
Sorry, I usually include that link. The current link is: http://www.4shared.com/file/fzZsnqE-/FMP_Bugsv4.html
You can also subscribe to Announcing the release of the Known Bug List Database or add it to your favorites list. This is the thread where I post notifications that an updated copy of the database has been released.
I am using FileMakerPro11.0v2 and OS 10.6.4. I do not have a FileMaker option available in my print dialog box. The Knowledge Base work around did not work for me. This is the work around I found. In browse mode showing one, some, or all records, if I clicked on the preview button or View>Preview Mode or command U, a button for saving as .pdf appeared. You can also go to FIle>Save/Send file as>PDF. Once you do this a print dialog box will open that has a pop up menu next to the word "Save". In this menu you will find Records being browsed, Current, or Blank. Select what you want and save the file were you can find it easily. Then open the .pdf file in the application Preview. From here you should be able to print. This may or may not work for you. I'll be very happy when they resolve this problem.
Thank you for your post and your workaround. Hopefully, this will help others.
Another workaround, if you have another machine that is displaying the FileMaker options in the print dialog box, copy the FMDocPDE.bundle from the second working computer to the non-printing computer. Right-click the FileMaker Pro application and "Show Package Contents". You'll find the FMDocPDE.bundle file in the Contents -> Plugins folder.
