Summary

Refresh Error with Vertical Scrollbar

Product

FileMaker Pro

Version

11.0v2

Operating system version

MacOS 10.6.4

Description of the issue

When a FMP database is set to 75%, 150%, and 300%, it does not refresh properly when scrolling up slowly with the main vertical scroll bar. The improper refresh leaves a cycle of information in a repeating pattern.

Steps to reproduce the problem

The refresh problem occurs when scrolling up slowly with the main vertical scroll bar and the database is set to the following sizes: 75%, 150%, and 300%. FileMaker refreshes normally if the database size is set to 100%, 200%, or 400% or the mouse wheel is used for vertical scrolling.

Expected result

The expected result is information displayed normally with no repeating patterns.

Actual result

The improper refresh leaves a cycle of information in a repeating pattern.

Configuration information

FileMaker Pro Server 10 databases are hosted on an Apple G5 Xserve running MacOS 10.5.8 (9L34).

Workaround

FileMaker 11 refreshes normally if the database size is set to 100%, 200%, or 400% or the mouse wheel/ball is used for vertical scrolling. FileMaker 10 also works normally with the main vertical scroll bar.
