Was this export records operation performed in a script or by the user selecting export records from the File menu?
Don't really see why that would be an issue here, but every detail can help.
Thank you for responding. I am going to install Windows 7 on my mac and see if I can figure it out. If I go direct to export files and choose .csv it makes one then Excel labels it as an excel file and adds on the excel extension after the .csv. If I use the script, it makes a .tab file that Windows says it can't read and won't open. If it persists after I have looked deeper I will check back in. Thank you for you assistance.
